Sorry, Kanye. Coldplay have partnered with rap icon Jay-Z on an upcoming special single version of the 'Viva La Vida' track 'Lost.' The new rendition of the song will be released "in a few weeks," according to a recent hand-written post by frontman Chris Martin.

"In the spirit of trying to things a bit differently and keep everything fresh, we are going to do a few musical moves that we have not previously attempted," Martin explains. Jay-Z's "guest experience," as Martin describes it, will also be a part of Coldplay's upcoming EP, 'Prospect's March,' which drops November 25, and features seven tracks that weren't finished in time to appear on 'Viva La Vida.'

"We are very proud of these and are pretty excited to release them," Martin adds. "They have each been the subject of many discussions and arguments; Some might be considered too catchy or heavy for Coldplay songs but in our minds, they complete the 'Vida La Vida' picture."

Often one of the most memorable parts of a James Bond flick is the theme song, with past artists including Tina Turner, Nancy Sinatra, and Paul McCartney owning the honor. The latest Bond film, 'Quantum of Solace,' will feature the song 'Another Way to Die,' recorded by Jack White and Alicia Keys. Apart from being Keys' first foray into rock, the tune is also the first duet in 007 history.

Though the cross-genre match-up may come as a surprise, apparently the two artists had been hoping to work together for quite some time. "I've always wanted to collabo with Jack White," Keys told Spinner. "I think it was just in the stars. The creativity just flowed. He is a fantastic musician. The respect we both have for each other showed through in the studio and in the song." As for the pressing question of who would win in a fight between Jack and James, Keys was confident. "Jack White for sure! There's a lot of tricks in that guitar no one knows about. "

Cure frontman Robert Smith has come out swinging against iTunes over the UK pricing of the group's new remix EP, 'Hypnagogic States.'

In an expletive laden e-mail to the company, posted in its entirety on the Cure's official blog, Smith says iTunes "has managed to f--- this up to another level!" before advising fans who are easily "offended by colourful language" to look away.

"I f---ing despair again," Smith writes. "'Hypnagogic States' EP is now up on iTunes ... 5 Tracks for £7.99? For f---'s sake! And the package is completely missing the extra bonus track (65DOS Alt Remix of 'The Only One'). Who the f--- is going to pay this and not feel totally ripped off? It's not a f---ing album! It's a 5 Track EP. This is so totally wrong. Why is it so incredibly difficult to get anything done right? Please fix this now. I am posting this as I feel upset."
